Enjoy the latest wildlife sightings from Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge in the Pilanesberg National Park. Come and discover our unique feature, the 180-meter long tunnel that leads to a viewing point that looks onto a watering hole and the park. Noise in the tunnel is amplified and will scare the game and birds away. Tune into the "Live" broadcast of "The Hide" via the in-room TV channel.

The Business Centre, equipped with two computer terminals & internet connectivity, is situated within the Conference Centre. The Business Centre is open from 08h00 to 17h00 and thereafter, the keys may be obtained from Reception. Vouchers for internet access may be obtained from Reception.

Crystal clear water and a view that many would never want to leave - dive in and soak up the bushveld. Two swimming pools are available for the exclusive use of residents. Neither of the pools are attended by a lifeguard and children must be supervised at all times. Pool towels are available at the pools. A refundable deposit will be charged to your room acount. Please do not use the towels from your room / unit.

Enjoy our outdoor bush braai area where you can savour some of the best South African cuisine. Boma dinners take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Saturdays include marimba band entertainment (weather permitting). Combine this with a Game Drive before the dinner or simply catch the shuttle from the Lodge Reception. Reservations are essential - minimum numbers apply.

We have a 9-hole Bush Golf course situated next to the tennis courts. Putters and balls are available from Reception in exchange for a refundable deposit.

A children's playground is situated near the top pool area. Swings and a trampoline are located near the tennis courts. Please note that all playground facilities are used at own risk.

Situated in the Lapa area next to the top pool. Pool cues are available at Reception in exchange for a refundable deposit.

There are 2 flood-lit tennis courts where the family can battle it out on the court. Tennis rackets and balls can be collected at our Reception. A refundable deposit will be required.

Our Rangers are fully trained with regards to all aspects of the operation of the climbing wall. For more information contact the Wildlife Centre. Situated next to the tennis courts. Bookings are essential.

Visit the Wildlife Centre & Museum to see snakes in enclosures as well as displays on animal skulls and droppings. You can make your booking for the game activities at the centre as well. Visit us to learn more about our environment and the local wildlife, or just to have a chat with one of our Field Guides. The Museum is open 08h00- 17h00 daily.

Rejuvenate your mind, body and soul in our magnificent spa. Indulge yourself with treatments such as Thabayadiotso, our signature treatment, or be pampered with a pedicure while watching the game feeding on the plains in front of the Spa. Whether it is a full body massage, in which the masseur uses Mountain Aloe Oil, or a soothing, deep cleansing facial using warm volcanic milk, the professional therapists will simply spoil you.

Make sure to pick up a souvenir to ensure you're always reminded of your visit. The souvenirs shop is open 08h00- 17h00 daily.

• SUN CITY: The resort feautures casinos, live shows, cinemas, 2 world class golf courses, water sports, the Valley of the Waves and many other attractions waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. The Valley of Waves is open daily from 09h00 - 18h00 in summer and 10h00 - 17h00 in winter. The shuttle service to the Sun City complex is only 10 minutes away, available at nominal charge. • KGASWANE MOUNTAIN RESERVE: The Kgaswane Mountain Reserve, set in the hills above the town of Rustenburg, spans some forty-square kilometres of the Magaliesberg. The towering quartzite peaks and grassy vleis allow visitors incredible views and offers some impressive hikes. Located 65 mins from the lodge. For more information please contact reception.

• MAGALIESBERG BIOSPHERE RESERVE: The Magaliesberg Biosphere Reserve covers the mountain region between Pretoria on the east, Rustenburg on the west and Mogale City in the south. All biosphere reserves are classified into zones which demarkate human-environment interaction. The two core areas of the Magaliesberg Biosphere are the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site and the Magaliesberg Protected Environment.

• MPHEBATHO CULTURAL MUSEUM: The Mphebatho Cultural Museum offers you a chanve to view and participate in the unique culture and history of the Bakgatla-Ba-Kgafela community living around the Pilanesberg mountains in the North West province. The vibrant community centre provides an alternative experience of the Bakgatla-Ba-Kgafela heritage, culture and tradition.

• PILANESBERG NATIONAL PARK: Among Southern Africa's fascinating game reserves, Pilanesberg National Park is possibly the most accesible. Situated in the ecologically ruch transition zone between the Kalahari and the Lowveld, this vast area promises thrilling big game viewing in a malaria free environment. A wide variety of accomodation is availble to suit your needs.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Kwa Lefikeng Restaurant, overloooking "The Rock", the waterhole, and the magnificent granite formations within the park. Our selected buffets and carvery dinners will leave you spoilt for choice as you sample delicious traditionally South African fare. A Fisherman's Catch seafood evening takes place every Friday, with a tradaitional lamb on the spit for Sunday lunch.

Situated next to the main swimming pool, be spoilt for choice with a selction of refresing cocktails, local wines and beers or soft drinks to sip on one while lazing under a palm tree. For the sports enthusiasts, watch your favourite team play live on the big screen TV. Open daily from 10h00.
