WHY EARLY CHILDHoOD DEVELOPMENT?
- Undernutrition contributes to +/- 45% of deaths in children from 1 - 7 yrs of age.
- Investing in the health and wellbeing of the children of South Africa is an investment in the future development of our country.
- Better early nutrition for children results in higher earnings later in life - contributing to overall economic growth.
- Failure to tackle this challenge is condemning millions of children to lives of exclusion - lives where they will not have the brainpower to succeed in school or find jobs in an increasingly digitised workplace.
"Our children are our greatest treasure. They are our future.” Nelson Mandela.
